Our education system concentrates on curriculum-based competitive performance, with little emphasis on positive mental health, including social, emotional and spiritual learning. However, our traditional Indian system of pedagogy has always placed great emphasis on Self-transformation through learning how to develop inner peace and happiness.
Powerful tools are needed for helping children develop the skills necessary for promoting peace and joy in themselves, harmony in their families, interconnectedness in their society and in the world.
Once the seeds of peace, happiness, love and well being are planted, it could shift the consciousness of our society in a healthy direction.
As Thich Nhat Hanh says,
Planting Seeds Program
Most of our beliefs and patterns about life, relationships, career, money, success, love, health etc get formed by the age of 9-10 years. For a wholesome life, it is essential to sow the right seeds at the right time.
